What is the first thing I need to do to apply for my Belgium Schengen visa?
You will first need to book an appointment with the Consulate General of Belgium in London as it doesn’t appreciate walk-in visa applicants. For this, you will need to visit the official consulate website of Belgium in London.
The website should look something like the image above. When you’re here, click on “Visa for Belgium” on the right-hand side of the website.
Once you are here, click on the link given on the “click here” in the first paragraph. You will get redirected to a new page where you can start applying for your Belgium Schengen visa along with booking an appointment with the consulate.
You will need to click on the “click here” option in the first instruction box on this page as well. Take a look at the image below to understand better.
This will take you to an instructions page. Read it carefully before you start booking your appointment. Once you are done with the reading, click on the “Visa On Web” option in the same box that you find on the new page. We suggest that you open this link in a new tab to be able to refer to the instructions while you make your appointment with the consulate.
Click on “Not registered yet” to make a new registration.
Fill in the form and click on “Register” to start your visa application process and book your appointment with the consulate as well.
Make sure that you print out the visa application form as this will need to be given to the consulate on the day of your interview.
How do I prepare for my interview at the Belgian Consulate?

You will need to provide several documents to the Consulate for them to process your visa application. The list is quite long, so ensure that you keep them arranged before your interview with the consulate.

Your passport needs to be valid and original and should have at least 2 empty pages for the consulate to be able to process. Ensure that the validity of your passport is at least 3 months from the day of your return.
You will also need to prove your legal stay in the UK with a UK residence permit. It should also have a validity of at least 3 months from the date of your return.
Give the consulate 3 recent passport-sized photographs. They need to be coloured and should have a clear front face view and a light background.
Your cover letter should clearly mention your purpose of travel to Belgium and should also include a list of all the documents you are submitting to the consulate.

What should I do if I am a minor travelling to Belgium?
If you are a minor travelling alone, then carry a copy of the passports of your parents, a consent letter from them, and also your birth certificate.
If you are travelling with your parents, just carry your birth certificate.
