What do I do if I can’t find an Belgium Schengen visa appointment in Mumbai?
Don’t get disheartened if you are unable to book a Belgium Schengen visa appointment in Mumbai. With consulates getting booked two to three months in advance, this is quite a common occurrence. But there are ways you can tackle this too.
Try a consulate with a different jurisdiction
If you’re not able to get an appointment with the Belgian consulate in Mumbai, then you can try the one in Chennai or try the embassy in New Delhi. But this works with varying success as well. As consulates get booked well in advance, the appointment will be subject to availability.
Change your main destination
Most times, popular countries like Belgium, France, Italy, etc. have quite a high inflow of tourists every year. Thanks to this, the consulates of these countries can get booked up to 6 months in advance.
So instead of trying your luck with the same consulate, you can try booking your appointment with a consulate of a country that doesn’t have a very high inflow of tourists. Consulates of countries like Malta, Luxembourg, and Slovakia are rather easy to get an appointment in. You can get a tentative travel plan just for the sake of getting your visa approved.
You could tell a white lie of staying in Malta for most of your travel time and that you are spending only a few days in Belgium. And in case you need temporary flight tickets and hotel accommodations for this, then we can help you out here as well. You can check our prices for this on our website.

Wait until you find an appointment
When all the other doors are closed, you barely have a choice left other than waiting for someone else to cancel their appointment. This might be a risky option though because there are chances that you will wait forever. But there have been many cases when travellers have been able to book an appointment once someone else cancelled theirs, so don’t completely disregard this option.
To get an appointment with the method, you will need to have multiple tabs open, keep refreshing, and keep a keen watch like a hawk, which can be quite tedious. For this matter, we have a team dedicated to finding such available appointments.
