How do I know if I need a Norway Schengen visa?
The answer to this question can only be given by your nationality. Here is a list of all the people and nationalities that don’t need a Schengen visa to visit Norway. If you are a citizen of Philippines then you need to need a Schengen visa for Norway.
However, if you are visiting the Philippines on a trip, you will need to head back to your own country to apply for your visa.
What do I do if I want to visit other countries along with Norway on my trip?

Can I visit the Consulate General of Norway without an appointment?
No, the Norwegian consulate doesn’t appreciate walk-ins with your queries. You will need to book an appointment with the consulate online on their website.
How do I book my appointment with the Norwegian consulate in Manila?
For this, you will need to first go to the official consulate website of Norway in Manila.
Once you are here, scroll down and click on “Visitor’s visa and residence permit“.
You will get two options on this page, click on “Visitor’s visa” out of the two.
The page will give you a list of instructions you will need to follow when applying for your Norway Schengen visa. Read it carefully before you proceed.
Once you are done, scroll down to find the subhead “Online registration and payment” and click on the option “Register your application in the application portal“.
The page will reload and ask for you to either login or “Create a new user account“. Click on the former for a fresh registration with the consulate.
The page will redirect you to a form that you will need to fill in according to your details mentioned in the passport. Once you are done filling it, make sure that you recheck it to see to it that there are no errors. After that, click on “Create user account“.
The page will further guide you to help you book your appointment with the consulate. Once you have a confirmation that your appointment has been booked, take a printout of the confirmation and remember to carry it to the consulate on the day of your interview.
What will happen on the day of the interview with the Norwegian consulate?
You will need to reach the consulate on time. In case you get late for more than 10 minutes, the consulate might reject your visa application.
You will be first asked to submit all the documents required for the approval of your Norway Schengen visa application. Once they are verified, you will need to pay the fees and enter the biometrics into the consulate’s system. Remember to keep the receipt you receive after paying the fees safely as you might need it on the day you collect your approved visa.
What documents will I need to arrange for my interview with the Norwegian consulate?

You will need to submit your passport which is original and has a validity of at least 3 months from the date of your return from your travel. It should have 2 empty pages as well.
In case you are a legal resident of the Philippines, carry your residence permit as well. It should also be original and the validity of this document should be the same as your passport.
You will need to give the consulate your bank and credit card details to prove that you will be able to take care of yourself during your travel. This is the proof of your financial sustenance.

In case you are a minor, carry your birth certificate. If you are travelling alone, you will also need to provide the copies of your parents’ passports. In case you are travelling with one parent, ensure that you have a letter from your other parent or alternatively a letter of approval from the family court.
